Vegan Easy Challenge 1st-30th March

Once again Animal Liberation Victoria are organising and running the Vegan Easy Challenge which Viva la Vegan! was a sponsor of in 2009, and Green Earth Group is a sponsor of this year. From the 1st to the 30th of March the Vegan Easy Challenge encourages those who aren't vegan to give the lifestyle a go for 30 days. I wrote a blog previously about my friend from college, Jennifer Price, doing the challenge in 2009 as a birthday present for me.

Designed as an easy 30 day challenge to inspire others to try the vegan lifestyle, my friend Jenny sent me a lovely hand-made birthday card Dec 2009 stating that for my 30th birthday she was going to go vegan for 30 days!! GREAT present, yes?

There aren't that many websites that really impress me, but this one is designed well, easy to navigate and has a huge range of information and vegan recipes to last well beyond the 30 days. There are many benefits to becoming vegan, including greater health, saving the lives of many animals and being much more environmentally friendly. Here's the blurb from their website:

To make life (vegan) easy for you, we've provided you with a sample 30 day menu with recipes and photos for breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day, as well as sweets and side dishes on our recipe page. Of course you don't need to stick to our menu plan, it's there to give you an idea of what to eat. You will also be in the running to win the following fantastic Prizes:

1ST PRIZE (valued at $800)
* 1 Vegan Cooking & Yoga Retreat for 1 person at Hepburn Retreat Centre
* $200 cash
* Vegan 'gift pack' to the value of $200

2ND PRIZE (valued at $450)
* 1 night's Accom. & Vegan Banquet for 2 people at Hepburn Retreat Centre
* $150 cash
* Vegan 'gift pack' to the value of $150

3RD PRIZE (valued at $300)
* Vegan 'gift pack' to the value of $300

See the Vegan Easy Challenge website for more information and make sure you get your friends and family involved!
