Strengths, Weaknesses & Outside Influences
What do you think is the biggest misconception about vegans and how do you address this?
The Protein myth is the biggest misconception. It is easy to get enough protein by eating enough fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and seaweeds.

What are you strengths as a vegan athlete?
As an amateur, non-elite athlete I try to do my best to achieve my athletic goals by performing well in my age category. My raw vegan diet gives me lots of energy, great cardio capacity and quick recovery times.

What is your biggest challenge?
Juggling full time career/work, 120 airplane rides per year and training.

Are the non-vegans in your industry supportive or not?
They are very curious, inquisitive and playful. Not negative but often poke fun.

Are your family and friends supportive of your vegan lifestyle?
Same as above.

What is the most common question/comment that people ask/say when they find out that you are a vegan and how do you respond?
The protein question is # 1 by a landslide. I give the facts and do not judge or cause any discomfort for the person asking.
