Ingredients:
½ cup nutritional yeast
¼ cup besan (chickpea) flour (or another flour)
2 cups brown rice milk (or another cruelty-free milk)
2 tbsp rice bran oil (or another oil)
Method:
Combine milk, oil and nutritional yeast flakes in hot saucepan
Slowly sift the besan flour into the saucepan
Use a whisk to stir and bring to the boil
Keep stirring until thick – add more flour if necessary
If you’re used to consuming cheese from cows, add some salt
Add chives, shallots or spices if desired
Use for lasagne sauce on pizza, or anywhere else you would use cheese sauce
