Viva La Vegan!

Over the weekend I was in Canberra for the Living Green Festival, held at Albert Hall.

I haven't been for a few years due to travelling, so I was excited to see some friends again.

I was on a stall for (one of my clients) Cruelty Free Super. I gave a talk at 2pm on Diet, Ethics and Veganism.

I've been vegan for almost 20 years and am getting a bit worried that the term vegan has been watered down, and that people are losing sight of the core ethics of the vegan/Animal Rights movement. I see so much about food and diet online, but not so much about animals, ethics, and all the other social justice issues. My talk covered all these things and more.

Here's the video on YouTube:

I'll be giving a similar talk at Sydney's Cruelty Free Festival and the Perth Cruelty Free Fair. Hope to see you there or at any of the other vegan events in Australia the coming two months.
