Viva La Vegan!


I really love hummus - here's an easy video on how to make it:

400gr chickpeas, cooked

1 lemon, peeled and pitted

1 tbsp tahini

2 garlic cloves, peeled

1 tsp cracked black pepper

1 tsp cayenne pepper

¼ cup water, if needed



Combine all ingredients except water in food processor and process until smooth.

Add the water a bit at a time if needed or you like a thinner consistency.

You could also try to add either of the following for another version of hummus:
sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke, eggplant or olives.

Serves 2-4 people

Serve with vegetable sticks and/or crackers.
