walnut shortbread

Ingredients:

3 cups self raising Flour

220g Nuttelex or other vegan margarine

1 cup icing sugar

I packet of walnuts (or about 20 fresh)

 

Method:

Melt margarine

Sift flour and icing sugar together and mix well with margarine

Knead the dough for about a minute, adding more flour if the mixture gets too sticky

Roll into small balls and press onto an oven tray lined with baking paper

Place one walnut piece on top of each biscuit

Bake in oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden

 

Makes about 20
